What Is Fostering?
Fostering with The Cat’s Meow means opening your heart and home to a cat in transition, not in a shelter, but in a real, loving environment.
As a foster caregiver, you provide a safe, temporary space for cats coming from shelters or surrenders, giving them a chance to heal, grow, and be loved until they find their forever home.
You’ll receive support every step of the way, from training to a network of other knowledgeable fosters. and the rescue covers vet care, vaccines, and more. In return, your kindness, your patience, and your home will give these cats the stability and affection they need to thrive.
What Does Fostering Require?
Fostering with The Cat’s Meow is a rewarding way to make a real difference in a cat’s life. As a foster, you’ll provide the basics: food, supplies, and a safe, loving space where your foster cat can relax and thrive.
We also ask that fosters bring their cats to our adoption events at the Cartersville PetSmart at least twice a month, held on Saturdays from 11–4, so they can meet potential adopters and find their forever families. With your care and commitment, these cats get the best possible start on their new journey.
